Call for Applications to the PDA Executive Board
The Postdoctoral Association (PDA) at UCLA welcomes applications from current postdoctoral scholars to serve on the Executive Board from June 1, 2018 – May 31, 2019. Executive Board members will:
- Engage in campus leadership opportunities
- Develop your professional skills through interaction with other campus leaders, meeting facilitation, project management, and professional development feedback
- Increase community engagement amongst UCLA Postdocs
- Receive a $500 leadership award for a one-year term
Description of Executive Board Positions
Gain Leadership Skills
The PDA Executive Board will be provided leadership training opportunities and will develop new programs to foster community amongst Postdocs, and engaged in many campus leadership opportunities and initiatives including but not limited to:
- National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week (September 2018)
- Postdoctoral Research & Mentorship Awards
- Postdoctoral Scholars’ Advisory Council (PSAC)
- Healthy Campus Initiative’s Engage Well Committee
- Campus Professional & Career Development Committees (I.e. Career Development Conference)
We welcome applications from all qualified individuals who will hold official postdoctoral scholar appointments between June 1, 2018 – May 31, 2019.
